Cellar West Collaboration

Our second blend of Meager Portmanteau is once again based on the union of Primitive's Colorado spontaneous beer rested on gorgeously ripe local white peaches with a select barrique of Cellar West's oak aged saison. This vintage of Meager Portmanteau includes the incorporation of “spent Wet Hops,” counterintuitively allowing once-used Multihead and Citra hops fresh from the bine to add a vibrant tropical quality to the assemblage.

What results from this collaboration of inspiration, time, and technique is a delightfully balanced Colorado farmhouse beer representative of both breweries. Delicately tart, laden with notes of ripe peach & oak it is equal parts carefree & complex. The blend was given rustic Wildflower Honey from Bee Squared Apiaries to naturally condition and develop bottles for many months.
