We are Open!... just not often...
Our current tasting room hours/Primitive house parties are limited to the second and fourth Friday (5-9pm) & Saturday (noon-10pm) of each month, as well as additional popups when time allows. Our next party will be held on Friday, February 22nd, 5-9pm and Saturday, February 23th, 12-10pm. The next set of open tasting room hours will be held Friday, March 1st, 5-9pm, and Saturday March 2nd, 12-10pm. Please see our Cask Pours section to learn about what beers are available to enjoy by the glass or pitcher. We hope to see you all here and exchange passion! Follow us on social media (Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) to keep informed about any last minute pop-ups and openings we decide to implement.
...but our beers are blended for fun, and to go in a box!
Primitive Beer is Colorado's first exclusively spontaneous, barrel-fermented beer blendery. Inspired by centuries-old Belgian brewing techniques and a flair for the modern, we are excited to release blends that reflect our passion for funky yet balanced flavor profiles emphasizing Colorado ingredients. We package our beers, purposefully still (lacking carbonation), in bag-in-box to satiate your cravings between our bi-monthly openings. In addition to paying homage to our Belgian contemporaries and accentuating the wine-like qualities of our beer, the box is a perfect package for taking on travels, outdoor adventures, or continually sampling from your fridge without risk of oxidation and staling. Please see our Packaged Options section to find what beers are available to take offsite and enjoy!
How do boxes work, you ask? Let our friend Scott Davidson show you!
We are a pack of professional beer enthusiasts obsessed with spontaneous fermentations and the magical way beer can showcase hyperlocal flavors. In our "real lives", the good looking bloke in the center daylights as a lawyer while the brains of our operation spends her time managing Odd13 Brewing’s taproom and the Andy Samberg doppelgänger gets weird with it as Head of Blending, Special Projects, & Barrel Aging (I know, verbose position title) at 4 Noses Brewing. In the coming months, we are excited to share our story, the beers we blend, and a bit about the friends who have made this adventure possible!
We look forward to posting news, photos, videos, interpretive dances, nacho tips/tricks of the trade, and anything else that we are enthusiastic for… potentially even peripherally related to Primitive Beer!
